Hello!
I hope writing in English isn't forbidden, if is please delete and excuse me.
I have problem with
Xciting 250 2007..
After my position light bulb went out i changed my self but i disconnect all wires to remove whole front cover.
I change bulb without problem, checked water in radiator(was full) and everything was fine..scooter worked nice, as before.
Next morning outside temperature went down to -2 Celsius and i wanted to move scooter inside.
Scooter worked normally(started normally like in summer time) but check engine light went on..i turn off immediately and tried to figure whats happened...CELP flashed 5 slow times and 8 faster times...
I check antifreeze(was changed 2 weeks ago)water in radiator was also normal...oil changed 300 km ago, new battery two month ago when i also changed drive belt and put new Dr Pulley sliders.
Bike is now almost 21.000 km and works fine.
Since was Sunday i was unable to call official dealer(btw they are 30 km away) and i was curious whats happened..i found repair manual and there says that 8 CELP flashes mean Idle Air Bypass Valve error..
Tried to reset TPS/ISC according to manual(turn key off, open throttle, turn key on and wait 8 sec than turn off) but nothing changed..
Next Monday i call official
Kymco dealer and service and presented them my problem..i was amazed when person on phone said i have no idea what is IDLE AIR BYPAS VALVE..even i gave them part number from catalogue he didnt have clue..he said come with scooter and we will sort out...i said i have no idea how to bring scooter to them he said drive there will no problem to engine or wait till spring..
That was my first and last contact with them..i will bring bike to my trusted mechanic who keep perfect maintenance to my Yamaha XJR more than 5 years..problem is that he in hospital for next month and half and i want to sort out problem sooner.
So if anyone with similar problem can gave me solution what to do?Shall i purchase new Idle Sensor or something else?
One of solution that i have on my mind is that i will re check and clean most of wired contacts and do another ECU reset..if that not solve problem then i will find someone trustworthy(its very hard to find good mechanic as usual)
Keep in mind that problem showed after temperature went under 0 so there is possibility for some other sensor like 02 sensor or something else?
Thanks!
